Crowdfunding for Eindhoven University of Technology

At TU/e, we pride ourselves on being a community that values talent, innovation, and solidarity. Every year, students from around the world come here to pursue their dreams—often leaving everything behind and investing all their savings, and those of their families, to study in the Netherlands. Their admission requirements are tougher, and their determination is immense. But unlike Dutch students, they have no social or financial safety net to fall back on when life takes an unexpected turn.An earthquake in their home country. A serious illness. Parents withdrawing support because of a student’s sexual orientation. These are real situations that can suddenly put their future at risk. In 2025 alone, twenty students faced such crises. Thanks to the TU/e University Fund, we were able to help many of them with modest contributions. Sometimes, however, more is needed. One student was able to graduate after a severe illness thanks to an anonymous alumnus—a beautiful example of the bond within our TU/e community. But this is not a structural solution.Right now, four students urgently need more support than the fund can provide. Helping them means turning away nine others. That’s a choice we don’t want to make. Our goal: €80,000 to ensure these students can finish their studies and build the future they came here for.This is about more than money. It’s about what we stand for as a community. It’s about making sure talent is never lost because of circumstances beyond someone’s control.Join us. Give hope. Preserve talent.
